Student Behavior Takes Center Stage at Forest View
Each month students participate in a special behavior kickoff assembly. The purpose of bringing the students together is to discuss behavior and share a specific focus for the month. During the month of Sept. students worked on being respectful to others by being a good listener and set a goal as a school to earn 1500 hoots by the end of the month.
The students did a fantastic job and more than tripled the goal set at the beginning of the month. Students earned 5446 hoots during the month of September. As a celebration students enjoyed a Stop, Drop and Tech day where they had a chance to do various activities with technology two different times during the day separate from their usual work. Students really enjoyed this time to explore and do activities they don’t always get to do.
During the month of October the behavior focus is being responsible and safe with technology. At the kickoff assembly 5th grade students wrote and performed skits for the students demonstrating the right way to use technology. They did a great job illustrating for students the safe and responsible ways to use technology.
