Forest View is located in Mount Prospect, Illinois, a northwest suburban area of Chicago. We are one of 15 schools in Community Consolidated School District 59. We have approximately 400 students from kindergarten to fifth grade. Forest View first opened its doors in 1962 and has undergone several building renovations over its history. The most recent addition was in 1996, which provided us with the state of the art facility that we have today.

Forest View houses and supports a number of different programs. Forest View has an ESL program that supports students from kindergarten through fifth grade. This program provides instruction in English for students with a second language. Forest View also offers support to students through various structures in reading and math as well as our Talent Development Program for students in third through fifth grade.

Forest View offers a variety of clubs and extracurricular activities. The clubs may vary from year to year but we have offered in the past Chess Club, Chorus (4th, 5th), Student Senate (4th, 5th ), Girls on the Run, Boy’s Running Club, and Service Club (5th). Each of these clubs meet at different times during the year.

Currently, Forest View is focused on providing students with Modern Learning experiences that focus on teamwork, collaboration, and the application of skills to real world problems and situations. In this way, we help learning come to life for our students as we prepare them to be successful for life.
