Eleven students from Forest View and Frost Elementary were honored for their participation in the Mt. Prospect Fire Safety Poster Contest at the Mt. Prospect Village Board Meeting on Nov. 12. Fine arts teachers Moira Burdi and Andrew Brand accepted the awards for 100% participation by their schools in the project.

Five Forest View students (Harshika Sathishkumar, Marina Diaz, Julia Swiech, Dominik Zych and Kristina Junkovic), as well as six Frost students (Victoria Kuczek, Amaya Lopez Mendoza, Maritza Ramirez, Anthony Mejia-Tlamintzi, Evelyn Ramirez, and Claudia Ziobro) received medals for their top place finishes in the city-wide contest. Students enjoyed receiving their awards from the mayor and Fire Chief as well as refreshments with the firefighters.
